Louisa A Jewell

Louisa Jewell is an author, speaker, and well-being teacher who has facilitated thousands of people towards greater flourishing both at work and in their personal lives. Jewell holds a master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology, MAPP, from the University of Pennsylvania and is the founder and current president of the Canadian Positive Psychology Association (www.cppa.ca). She is a faculty member of the Flourishing Center’s Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology program and was a professor of positive psychology at the University of Texas, Dallas. Mainly known for her work educating people and practitioners around the world about the science of well-being and resilience, Jewell appears regularly on CBC radio as a well-being expert and has been featured extensively in other media including Forbes, Fast Company, Oprah Magazine, The Globe and Mail, Huffington Post, Psychology Today and CTV TV. Jewell is the host of a new Audible Originals Podcast, The Awesome Project, launching in winter 2021. Jewell is a featured expert in several documentaries including The Science of Happiness and Mental Health in the City and her best-selling book Wire Your Brain For Confidence: The Science of Conquering Self-Doubt was named in the top 100 Best Psychology Books of All Time by Book Authority. She is a contributing author to the European Handbook of Positive Psychology, Positive Psychology at Work and Positive Psychology News Daily.
