Lisa Wagner

Lisa Wagner studied psychology at the University of Trier in Germany, her master thesis dealt with the association between teacher’s power motivation and their well-being. Following her studies, she worked as a research associate in a project aimed at establishing an assessment and counseling program for teaching trainees. Since 2012, she has been working as a research and teaching associate at the University of Zurich at the department of Personality and Assessment (Prof. Dr. Willibald Ruch). In her PhD research (which she aims at completing by the end of 2018), she focused on children’s and adolescents’ character strengths and their significance in contexts that are highly relevant to their development, such as schools and peer groups. She is also investigating basic questions regarding character strengths and virtues as well as students’ well-being. She also enjoys teaching positive psychology in seminars and the post-graduate continuing education course (Certificate of Advanced Studies in Positive Psychology) at the University of Zurich, which she also coordinates. She is a founding member of the Swiss Positive Psychology Association (SWIPPA) and the Country Representative for Switzerland in the European Network for Positive Psychology (ENPP).
