While much of the wellbeing literature is based on descriptive and correlational studies, this exemplar method analyses   is based on the growing body of causal evidence from high-quality RCTs testing the efficacy of Positive Psychology Interventions (PPIs) to identify PPIs that have the potential for generating wellbeing during a global pandemic. The findings from 25 meta-analyses and 231 RCTs of PPIs designed to generate wellbeing over time were analyzed. The findings clearly reveal PPIs have the potential to improve wellbeing during a global pandemic. Four exemplar PPIs —in terms of being tested with a high-quality RCT, having moderate to large positive effects on wellbeing over time, and being potentially adaptable to implementation during a global pandemic—will be presented and recommendations for designing PPIs to generate wellbeing during a global pandemic will be discussed.
