The current economic and social situation is characterized by constant economic, financial and social changes in international markets.

In this context, it’s essential to develop Positive Organizations that are Healthy and Resilient arises; that is, to develop HEROs (Healthy & Resilient Organizations). HERO Model (Salanova, et al., 2012) is composed of the following dimensions: work demands, work resources, healthy employees and organizational results. This project aims to design and validate a checklist of healthy and resilient organizations (HEROCheck) using a pilot study.

The sample comes from 37 organizations from different socioeconomic sectors: commercial (13%), education (9%), productive (30%), health (3%) and service (45%). The total number of participants was 245 people, 52% women. The average age is 41 years old (SD=9.9).

The following statistical analyses: descriptive analysis, correlations, reliability, and compose reliability, confirmatory factor analysis has been carried out. It was also used the SPSS and AMOS statistical packages.

As expected, the alphas on the scales are higher than .70, which means that they exceed the criteria established by Nunnally and Bernstein (1994). The variables of the questionnaire correlate with each other in a positive and significant way, ranging from r= .27, p<.001 to r= .76, p<.001.

The second-order CFA indicates that, compared to a single-factor model, the model that best fits the data is the three-factor model. This model indicates that the HEROCheck is composed of three dimensions independent but related: social resources with 6 indicators; employees healthy with 5 indicators and healthy organizational resources with two indicators. Despite being the best model, the adjustment rates should be improved to a higher standard.

Finally, it is concluded that the instrument HEROCheck is a valid and reliable as a methodology for identifying psychosocial factors and can be used as an alternative to the extended version HERO model.
