The presentation will be comprised of Dr. Stacie Craft DeFreitas being interviewed by IPPA President, Dr. Judith Teldie Mostowitz. Topics addressed will be why texts such as African American Psychology: A Positive Psychology Perspective are important and necessary to the field of psychology, steps that need to be taken to move psychology towards a more positive and strengths-based perspective, the need for positive psychology to be more diverse and inclusive, and how researchers and professors can be scholar-activists.
