Veronika Huta
Veronika Huta is an Associate Professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa, Canada. She conducts research on the predictors, correlates, and outcomes of eudaimonic motivation (seeking authenticity/autonomy, excellence/virtue, growth/self-actualization, and meaning/contribution) versus hedonic motivation (seeking pleasure/enjoyment/fun and absence of pain/discomfort). She also studies elevating experiences, which include awe, inspiration, and transcendence. She teaches graduate and undergraduate statistics, and is a highly rated instructor. She is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Happiness Studies and the Journal of Well-being Assessment. She is a co-founder of the Canadian Positive Psychology Association, and has co-organized several conferences on positive psychology or eudaimonia specifically. She is honored to be named an IPPA Fellow.
