Masaya Kobayashi
Masaya Kobayashi is a professor of Political Philosophy, Public Philosophy and Comparative Politics in the Graduate School of Social Sciences at Chiba University in Japan. He currently serves as Director of the Japanese Positive Health Psychology Society, as well as the head of his university’s Research Center on Public Affairs. A graduate of the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law, he has been a research fellow at the University of Tokyo, along with a visiting scholar and Bye-Fellow recipient at Cambridge University. His work spans the fields of political philosophy, positive psychology, public policy, and comparative thought. Of late, he has begun to focus on the nexus between philosophy and positive psychology. His research has been published in several books and numerous academic journals in Japan, and he has also published several academic articles in English books and journals. His political commentaries have appeared in various media in Japan.
