Alhassan Abdullah
Alhassan Abdullah is a PhD Student with the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, the University of Hong Kong. Broadly, his research publications and practice embrace child welfare issues, specifically he studies how community and cultural resources 1) promote neglect and abuse intervention in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), and 2) promote the resilience of young people living in perilous violent neighborhoods within SSA. His scholarship brings to fore the child protection implications of informal cultural mechanisms and processes in SSA, such as informal kinship care practices.
